Katie gives an altar call

Katie, who has read Brio magazine since Colorado, emailed the organizers and offered to help the team as an interpreter. Well, she, Lisa and Hope went with one of the busses to several schools. Here she is giving an altar call (I shouldn't be surprised, we did name her after Catherine Booth!). I'll quote Brio's blurb from their website:

Here's an example of what their schedule looks like:
Breakfast and devotions with team, teens are dressed in their costume with theatrical makeup on, they board their bus along with their adult sponsors, the interpreters and church representatives and depart for a day of drama ministry. First stop-public school. (Yes, they're allowed to actually go in, present the Gospel and even give an invitation for students who want to give their lives to Christ!). After the drama, a few teens from the team give testimonies through the interpreter (Katie). And one teen will ask for folks to come forward if they want to have Jesus be their Lord and forgive their sins (Katie!). At that point, several will come forward, and the students on the team will take them to the local church reps and have the reps pray with these folks in Spanish (Lisa, Katie & Hope!). The reps will also write down their names and addresses to get them plugged into a church and disciple them (us!).
