Last night we went to one of our favorite restaurants, "Jimmy's" and celebrated my birthday a couple of days early (Lisa’s idea, what a sweetie!). As it had rained most of the day, the night was cool and refreshing enough to sit in their covered, open-air seating area. Jimmy’s is close to the ocean, and you can almost imagine hearing the waves. We asked for the table with the best breeze, so they turned on their giant fans for us! Lisa and Hope had the beef, while Katie, Gary Jr. and I had seafood, but by the time the meal was over, we’d all had “Surf & Turf”! Katie & I asked for the steamed vegetables instead of baked potato or fries, and we both got a nice plate with broccoli, cauliflower, sliced carrots, chayote and cabbage. The food was delicious as always, and the waiter was both attentive and discrete. The kids are great about staying at home with a pizza so Lisa and I can go out on a “date”, but it was really nice going out together as a family.
