Woo hoo! We're going to JAPAN! I know we were announced waaaaay back in July, but now that I'm looking at an empty house, it finally seems REAL!
We have our tickets, our hotel reservations for the first two nights, and good shoes with gel heel support (yeah, me and
the Doctor went to school together... Dr. SCHOLLS!)
We leave here for Albuquerque on Tuesday around 2:00
in the morning! We'll be flying to Phoenix, then to Los Angeles. Finally we're flying from Los Angeles to Tokyo Narita Airport on Singapore Airlines (they say it's pretty nice - here's the video
http://youtu.be/70J0MC0rZ0Q ). I'm used to those hip-hugging American Airlines seats. Since it's a 12 hour flight, I sure hope this seat is comfy...
