Our 21st Anniversary

Our 21st Anniversary! Like everyone else, we always try to do something special for our anniversaries, but no matter how much we plan, it seems like, that as the actual date approaches, our plans get progessively downsized until we end up buying a blender and going out to eat (or something like that). This year almost turned out the same! Since Toby the wonderdog got bumped by a passing car, we thought we were going to have to spend it ($$$) on him, but praise God! We were still able to take a night off and celebrate our anniversary, right on the ocean! The picture above is of our hotel room. The kids went with us when we checked in, and got to swim in the hotel pool for a while. Then, around 7 pm, Tim came by and took them home, and Lisa and I just walked across the street from the hotel to a Brazilian rodizio. They specialize in choice cuts of beef, roasted on long skewers. The meat is brought to your table by different waiters, each with a skewer of say, filet migñon or ribs or a dozen other cuts. They keep coming back until you tell them to stop.

When we got back to the hotel, we shared a bottle of sparkling grape and raspberry juice and some Belgian chocolates, and watched the lights of the skyscrapers reflect off the outgoing tide.

All-in-all, a fantastic and romantic evening with the woman I love the most!

Gary
