Happy (belated) Thanksgiving to all! Lots to be thankful for this year! Here's a couple of pix. Pastor René from the Dominican Republic came down to preach a revival in our church, and got Thanksgiving dinner to boot! Lisa's turkey was juicier than ever ("brine soaked") and the Welches grape juice flowed like, well, grape juice! There was green bean casserole, whipped potatoes and gravy, candied yams, pecan and apple stuffing as well as oyster dressing on the side. We topped it off with Lisa's homemade pecan and pumpkin pies ("Hey Grampa, what's for supper?").
René blessed us with Abeka materials for the 9th grade. Whatta guy! Tonight we had a Mens Discipleship Class at church. Afterwards we went to Jimmy's Restaurant for seafood (actually Lisa had the lambchops while René & I split a couple of Caribbean lobsters and a platter of clams, sea bass, calamari, octopus and langostinos). Dessert: flan, baklava and the smoothest, darkest Panamanian expresso in town! René is flying back tomorrow morning, so I'd better hit the hay!
