it had to happen one day

Tim's in charge of the praise chorus, and he usually picks any two ladies involved in ministry to sing with him. Granted, at least one of them ends up being a little sister or his wife, Nadia, but last night Nadia and Lisa were both out sick. Two other ladies had arrived straight from work and were wearing slacks (which is fine for church service, but not for altar ministry). As hard as our family tries to spread ourselves around at church (one running the overhead projector, another one tucked away watching the nursery, etc.) it had to happen some day: All three siblings singing in the chorus, Pastor Dad leading song service (and Gary Jr. taking pictures while subtly trying to get his sisters to laugh, the little devil). While it's a little embarrassing (we look like one of those little backwood churches where the granddad owned the land and the family has a stranglehold on the ministry) I still can't help but stare at this picture of my children, looking (at the moment) like a chorus of angels. Who'd have thought!
