Well, I decided on the brown sugar and Coca Cola glaze and also stuck some pineapple on top. I've been basting it the last couple of hours and it's looking really good so we'll probably eat in a bit. We had homemade waffles for breakfast. Gary has been wanting some for ages so I bought him a wafflemaker for Christmas. (I have to make them of course- so it's not really a gift for me). He and the kids were happy though with the waffles! The kids all liked their presents. Gary Jr. got a microscope set and a telescope and other toys, Hope got some skirts, and a dance mat - you do the steps to the music...it's good exercise - I tried it - whew! Tim got a new wallet, a backpack, a tool kit, a computer tool kit and some clothes. Katie got a computer desk and some clothes and girly stuff. Gary and I kept it simple this year - mostly joint gifts - a king sized comforter, a french press coffee maker and the waffle iron. The kids got us some gifts as well...a jig saw puzzle from Hope for me and a steel espresso cup and saucer for Gary. Tim got Gary and I a Brita water filter pitcher which we are VERY happy about. I had looked at one but I didn't buy it - then Tim got it for us instead. Katie got Gary a super-size fluffy bath towel, and she got me some perfume and Gary Jr. got me an electric toothbrush and some shower gel soap. So all in all we got some nice things from everyone. I told the kids the gifts were all from their parents and grandparents. I just went shopping and made everything from everyone this year. Well time to go check on the ham and the rest of dinner.
