I bet Katie and I looked funny walking down the street with the tree! Supposedly they came from Canada. They had several nice trees for 45 to 65 dollars and then they had some really scraggly Charlie Brown trees for $15. Well I found a $45 tree with a bald spot on the back of it - otherwise it was all nice and green...just the backside wasn't. And I bought that for $15 because I put my tree in a corner of the room anyway and nobody is going to see the backside anyway and it looks great! So that worked out nicely… it sure smells good!
The news in the paper today says not to drink the water for now as it's contaminated...looks like some of our suspicions have been confirmed regarding our stomach ailments. Of course, they didn't mention it until now, and the problem has been going on since the 19th! So far Gary is the only one really affected though...but he drinks a lot more water than any of us. I'll have to pick up some more bottled water tomorrow.
I also put up the swimming pool today...I think rainy season is pretty much over..we might have a rain or two more but it's starting to feel like summer. Little Gary is real excited about having the pool back. Gary, little Gary, Katie and Hope all went swimming this afternoon.
