Of Babies and Bibles and Boardwalk

Katie and I met with one of the girls (actually a young lady of 24) from church today for lunch. She came over to the house for the afternoon and visited and played Monopoly with the girls, ate dinner with us and then they all went together to the church for youth group. She has her BA, but is between jobs right now, so she has some free time, which is nice for visiting.

Oh yeah, John Hector, Dayli and Hector's 5 month old, spent the evening with me while they helped with the youth group program tonight. He's as cute as ever and a very good baby, so it was fun!



I was thinking today about how the Ngobe Bugle, a native people here, got the New Testament in their own language a couple of weeks ago. It's been 18 years in the working and it made front page in the newspaper! Cool huh?!

La traducción tomó más de 18 años por una comisión integrada por lingüistas internacionales y 12 indígenas ngöbes seleccionados por la Asociación Wounnan la Paz. El acto de entrega formal de los textos se realizó en la comunidad de Ciogui, en la comarca Wounnan, a unas tres horas por caminos de penetración de Tolé.
